OUR MODEL

  • Design and deliver high quality, hands-on, project-based apprenticeship programs in a variety of content areas, including the arts, communications and leadership, sports, and STEM.
  • Engage staff as instructors who support teens’ growth and development in an intentional and meaningful way.
  • Align and maximize the resources of an extensive network of public-private partnerships to coordinate and sustain investment in youth development through school- and community-based programming.
  • Focus on continuous quality improvement, data-driven and cost-effective decisions, strengthening skills to encourage improved academic outcomes, and positive impacts for teens, schools and communities we serve.

To achieve our mission and realize our vision, TRAP has prioritized the following components that allow us to best serve teenagers. TRAP will:

  • Advocate for teens and youth development.
  • Build opportunities for teens through partnerships.
  • Engage teens in development for work and higher education.
  • Showcase teen accomplishments.
  • Publish research and best practices about out-of-school time for teens.
